The Cursed Blue Rose
Taluwyn works two trades and makes no secret of preferring the second. Its shafts, sunk in the temperate desert of the continental interior during the third wave of expansion, produce steadily enough to feed a modest town — but the ore is only half the income. The rest is men. Taluwyn raises, drills and sells companies, and the same families that hold a claim underground hold a muster roll above it, going out on contract or on raid and returning with what a mining town cannot dig. Barracks, armouries and horse-lines take up ground that elsewhere would be given to ore-sheds.
The Wynnic are Lohanar, and their loyalties are layered rather than simple: the town answers to Brunthar, is commanded by the Eisvelde, and stands within the wider bloc of Risbern. Its faith cuts across all three. Taluwyn keeps the Religion of the Ruby and honours the Freebride, the aspect of freedom, whose all-female priesthood tends the fire here — a fitting patron in a town where every sword is hired and never given.
