The Cursed Blue Rose
Ancient bloodlines and forgotten peoples — learn about the races that inhabit the world of Kworgale.
Angelic beings from a lost world beyond the stars, capable of channeling massive amounts of thymara and possessing Crystal Hearts that anchor their souls upon death. The Elehaths fled their dying homeworld and settled Kworgale, where most reincarnated as Elekoi while five ascended to divinity as the Elders.
The Ashanar are the humans of Kworgalya's storm-lashed southwestern coast — corsairs, deep-sea mariners, and pact-makers who dwell beyond the reach of any written law. Bound only by the sworn word and the binding of covenant, they are the boldest and hungriest of the Elekoi, and the people from whom the Infernal Creed first rose.
Pale white-scaled serpent-folk with luminous amber eyes — a wandering people of scholars and pilgrims, the living remnant of a lizardfolk race the world has otherwise forgotten.
The Himanar are the Hammer's children — broad, bearded, white-haired makers who do not father their heirs but craft them, giving away a permanent piece of themselves to do it. Supreme artificers of the frozen northwest, they think with living crystal, shape an ice that never melts, and have a hand in every gem seam on the continent. Their first creed and their last is the shared burden.
The Pavanar are the Warden's children — tall, ageless, and austerely beautiful keepers of the icebound northeast. Each is born to fire or to ice, and they prize the balance of both. A largely secular people of scholars and memory-keepers, they preserve the minds of their dead in crystal and answer to a living queen rather than to any god.
Warrior maidens sculpted from ice that never melts and woken by a fragment of the Great Spirit of Ice — the Polar Dwarves' greatest work, and the standing judgment of the frozen world.
Towering shaggy giants of the frozen north, war-marked in glowing blue runes and armed with ice-crystal hammers — the sworn attendants of the Great Spirit of Ice at her Everfrost Sanctum.
The Lohanar are the humans of Kworgalya's southern coast — a cosmopolitan civilization of jurists, merchant-princes, and guilds who trust the charter and the court where their kin trust blood and flame. In their harbour-cities of pale stone, lawful procedure is held almost sacred: the means by which a people governs itself without an Elder's hand.
Fire nymphs remade by the sparks of the Deity's sacrifice — healers whose flame mends instead of consumes, hunted almost to nothing, and now the physicians of the Glacial Dominion that once refused them at its gate.
The Radiant Fairies who chose wrath over purity when healing could not save them — exiles whose fire both mends and consumes, scattered across the world as mercenaries, penitents and worse.
The war-caste minotaurs of Doosmund, holding a black fortress in the western snows that their own hunters built — armed with salvaged relic-weapons and led in worship by a priestess order not of their kind.
The werewolves of Sunspire Forest — human hunters who were changed by the Ruby of the Wilds' dying gift and who have kept the forest, and their own name, ever since.
The Ruby-hearth people of the southeastern coast — fair, sun-touched, and fiercest of all the Elekoi in their devotion to the goddess of flame. They are builders and warriors both, citizen-soldiers tempered on the ancient frontier, who keep hearth, kin, and the free flame at the centre of all things.
