The Cursed Blue Rose

It is the year 1337 DS, and the world the broken gods left behind has grown into something they might not recognize. The age of the Elders is thirteen centuries gone; the age of mortals is at its proud, dangerous height. These are the great powers as they stand today.

In the fire-blooded south, the human confederacy of Daskilon keeps the old faith of the Ruby, ruling its proud cities from the temple-seat of Velastra — steel bound to flame, freedom defended by sorcery. Across the central reaches sprawls the dark theocracy of the Infernal Creed, a hungry and ascendant power that worships the imprisoned Devil and exalts strength above all. To the north endures the realm of Radiant Light, its holy monarchy wielding the inherited radiance of the dead Deity. And in the far frozen north reigns the Glacial Dominion — the kingdom of the ice-elves and their immortal frost-queen, locked in an endless, secret war against the demon-tides of the deep north.
For all its grandeur, the present age rests on old and uneasy foundations. The faiths that divide the world remember their grievances too well; powers thought safely buried have begun, in quiet places, to stir; and those few who study the deep patterns of history speak — carefully, and not in public — of a long-feared reckoning drawing near. The gods are gone. But the wounds they left were never truly healed, and the world has the uneasy sense of a story that is only now, after thirteen hundred years, about to begin.
"The fire was never out. It was only waiting."
This is where the chronicle of Kworgale ends and its living tale begins. To walk its lands and meet the souls who shape it, explore the characters, the realms, and the magic of the world as it stands in 1337 DS.
