What the charts and ledgers of Kworgalya record of this place. Its own story has not yet been told.
Karlind's ploughland runs down to a lake across open grassland, and the town is precisely the size its fields allow — modest, low-built, and busy at the two ends of the year. Grain and hay carry it, along with herds driven out to grass in the warm months and brought in close when the weather turns. There is a wall, and men to stand on it, because grassland is easy country for anyone with horses to cross; but this is a farming town first and a defended one second. What it sends away, it sends as food.
Karlinders are Suvanar, and their town went up in the fourth wave of expansion, later than the great seats nearby and in their shadow ever since. Karlind is governed from Bannevar and answers through it to Risbern, so that any decision with weight in it is made somewhere else. The Radiant Light is kept here, plainly and without ceremony to spare.
