The Cursed Blue Rose
The east is wet country. Temperate rainforest covers seven of its ten charted settlements, with chaparral and grassland at the drier margins. Rivers and lakes serve most of the towns and three stand on the ocean. Mining leads the economy in three, production and trade in two apiece — a more varied living than the mining-heavy west.
Every charted settlement in the east is Suvanar, without exception. What divides them is not blood but belief and allegiance: five hold the Ruby as divine, four keep the Radiant Light, and one follows the Verdancy — the only place in the entire Atlas where that faith is recorded as a town's own.
Authority here is scattered. Risbern reaches east to hold four settlements; Morbora and Berevik hold two each; Andronis and the Verdant Kinship one apiece. The blocs of Risbern, Berevik and Tirbasos all take a share. Morbora, Berevik and Leskon are the substantial cities of the region, and Hylessa stands among them.
